2. Hosting and server logs (GitHub Pages)

This website is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit a page, GitHub's servers technically process the connection data required to deliver it — including your IP address — and may retain server logs for security and operational purposes. This processing is based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in providing the website. Details are described in the GitHub General Privacy Statement. No hosting analytics are evaluated by the operator of this site.

3. No cookies, no tracking, no analytics

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking, advertising, or social-media embedding. No scheduling or booking services are integrated.

4. Local storage: theme preference

If you switch the visual theme, your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key theme. This value never leaves your device, is not transmitted to any server, and exists only so the site reopens in the theme you selected. You can delete it at any time via your browser settings. This storage is technically necessary for the requested feature (§ 25 Abs. 2 TDDDG).

5. Contact by email

Email links on this site open your own mail program (mailto:[email protected]). If you send an email, the personal data you transmit (sender address, content) is processed to handle your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and deleted once the correspondence is complete, unless legal retention duties apply. A vCard download (.vcf) offered on the contact page is a static file; downloading it transmits no data back to this site beyond the hosting logs described above.

6. RSS feed

The RSS feed at /rss.xml is a static file. Fetching it is covered by the hosting logs described above; no feed analytics exist.

7. External links

This site links to external services — principally GitHub, LinkedIn, and the interactive scalability lab at lab.ghassan-alhamoud.com. When you follow such a link, the destination's own privacy policy applies.
